Stuart is a specialist sexual health physician who practices exclusively in gender diversity. His areas of interest are in the health and well being of trans, non-binary and gender diverse people, particularly in gender-affirming endocrine treatments. Stuart completed his specialist training in 2006 and has been practicing gender medicine since 2000. He is a member of AusPATH and WPATH, and has presented at multiple conferences. He is currently a senior staff specialist at the Queensland Children’s Gender Service, and has previously held specialist positions at the Adult Gender Service at RBWH, Paediatric Gender Service in Canberra, and at Gold Coast Health Service District. Stuart believes in developing collaborative medical approaches with trans people, empowering patients to make their own informed decisions, and working collaboratively with other clinicians to deliver developmentally informed multidisciplinary care where it’s needed.
